West Bengal Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme 2024
The scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of West Bengal Ms. Mamta Banerjee on 1st July 2023. Under Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme the female head of the family will receive rupees 1000 as financial aid from the state government. The main Beneficiaries of this scheme will be female heads of scheduled castes and scheduled Tribes. With this money, the women can meet their daily expenses. The government will also provide rupees 500 to the female heads of the general category per month. As per the reports, the government will give these benefits to around 1.6 crore beneficiaries. The budget of the scheme is estimated to be rupees 11,000 crores.

- The government of West Bengal has recently launched the Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme to provide financial assistance to the female heads of the SC/ST/General category families.

- For the general category, the financial support will be rupees 500 per month, and for SC/ST the financial support will be rupees 1000 per month.

- Step 1: You can get the application form at the Duare Sarkar Camps. Fill out the form and submit it, along with copies of the necessary documents, at Duare Sarkar Camps.
- Step 2: Officially authorized by the government will review the application form at the Duare Sarkar Camps using the Duare Sarkar process. After checking, the Block Development Officer in rural areas or in urban areas will enter the details on the portal. They will then authorize and recommend eligible applicants to the District Magistrate for approval.
- Step 3: If you live in certain areas, the head of Kolkata Municipal Corporation will say okay to your request. But if you live somewhere else, the District Magistrate will be the only one to give the approval.
- Step 4: The financial support approved under this program will be transferred directly to the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the eligible adult female member(s) of the household on a monthly basis through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT).
