Due to the government’s set educational requirements for eligibility, these programs also encourage parents to educate their girls until the appropriate age. The Tamil Nadu Marriage Assistance Scheme Types are as follows:

  • Moolvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninavu Marriage Assistance Scheme: The beneficiary of this initiative receives financial help of either Rs. 25,000 or Rs. 50,000. When the bride has completed class 10 education, she is eligible for financial aid of Rs 25,000 (the bride should have completed class 5 education in the case of the scheduled tribe). The bride will receive financial support if she has a degree from an accredited normal college, a diploma from an institution recognized by the Tamil Nadu government’s directorate of technical education, or an open university recognized by the government. To be eligible for this initiative, a family’s annual income must be more than Rs. 72,000.
  • E.V.R Maniammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Daughters of Poor Widows-
  • The daughters of low-income widows are also eligible to benefit from this program. Under this system, recipients who have completed a qualifying high school education are given financial support of Rs. 25,000, while recipients who hold a degree or diploma are given financial assistance of Rs. 50,000. To be eligible for this initiative, a family’s annual income must be more than Rs. 72,000.
  • Dur Dharmambal Ammaiyar Memorial Widow Romeriaj Assistance Scheme: The widows who get married again will profit from this program. A total of Rs. 25,000 in cash help is given through this plan. Of these, Rs. 10,000 is given as a national savings certificate, Rs. 15,000 is given through direct benefit transfers, and Rs. 4,000 is given as a 4-gram 22-carat gold coin during Thirumangalyam. A total of Rs 50000 would be paid to all recipients who hold a degree or diploma; of this amount, Rs 30000 will be sent directly to beneficiaries and Rs 20,000 will be distributed as a national savings certificate together with a 4-gram, 22-carat gold coin for the creation of Thirumangalam. There is no minimum educational requirement or income cap to qualify for this scheme’s benefits.
  • Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme:  When two people from different castes marry, this system provides benefits. Via this initiative, a total of Rs 25000 in financial assistance is supplied, of which Rs 15000 is given as a direct benefit transfer and Rs 10000 in the form of a national savings certificate and a 4-gram, 22-carat gold coin to be used for thirumangalam purposes. The holders of degrees or diplomas would receive financial aid totaling Rs 50000, of which Rs 30000 will be transferred directly to them as benefits, and Rs 20000 will be handed to them in the form of a national saving certificate and a 4-gram, 22-carat gold coin to manufacture thirumangalam.
  • Annai Theresa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls- When orphan girls marry, they will receive the benefits of this system. Beneficiaries of this initiative will receive financial aid of Rs. 50,000 for those with a degree or diploma and Rs. 25,000 if they meet the requirements for high school. There is no upper-income limit to get benefits from this program.
