The Manipur government developed a Permanent Housing Scheme for those impacted by the riots because the violence in the state claimed many lives and destroyed numerous homes. Rs 10 lakh, Rs 7 lakh, and Rs 5 lakh would be given to over 4800 persons in the state to rebuild damaged or burned-out pucca dwellings, semi-pucca houses, and kutcha houses. Cash assistance will be provided in two installments. Beneficiaries may apply through the relevant Deputy Commissioners for the second payment amount by providing images of continuing work done with the first installment money.

Biren Singh further revealed that it has been suggested that the national government release an extra Rs 476 crores for various relief initiatives. The second round of financial aid to be provided to people living in relief camps will cost Rs 6 crore. The Permanent Housing will cost Rs 360 crore. The second installment of camp management will cost Rs 108 crore. An additional Rs 2.5 crore will be used to buy bicycles for girls living in relief camps.
