To Apply for a Duplicate PAN Card Online, the user needs to follow the below steps:

  • First of all, visit the official website of TIN-NSDL i.e., https://www.protean-tinpan.com/services/pan/pan-index.html
  • The homepage of the website will open on the screen

  • Choose Changes or corrections in existing PAN data/Reprint of PAN card (No changes in existing PAN data) as the application type
  • Now, enter all the required details
  • After completing the required fields, submit the form
  • You will receive an email at the mailing address you gave on the previous page with a token number. Keep in mind that token number for your records going forward, and submit your application as usual
  • Now, fill out the Personal Details page with the required information and choose the method of submitting your PAN application. The three available modes are as follows:
    • Send application materials in person: The PAN services unit of NSDL must receive printed copies of the necessary documents, together with the acknowledgment
    form that is generated upon payment, via registered mail. Send digitally using e-KYC and e-sign (paperless): This option requires an Aadhaar and only the information included in your Aadhaar should be utilized when applying for a duplicate PAN card. The Aadhaar-registered phone will receive an OTP to verify the information submitted. Uploading a photo, a signature, or any other documentation is not required. The finished form must be e-signed using a digital signature (DSC) to
    • be submitted using this option.
    • Submit scanned pictures via e-sign: This option requires the submission of scanned copies of your signature, photo, and other documents; Aadhaar is not required. The application form can only be authenticated with an OTP.
  • After that, you must decide if you require an electronic PAN card or a physical PAN card. If you choose to apply for an e-PAN card, you will need to supply a working email address. The digitally signed e-PAN card will be sent to the email address that was entered.
  • Next, complete the information on the Contact & Other Details and document details pages, and then apply.
  • After making the money, you’ll be taken to the payment page, where you’ll also receive an acknowledgment.
  • You can use the created 15-digit acknowledgment number to check the status of your duplicate PAN card.
  • The government will send out the duplicate PAN card two weeks after it receives the application

To Apply Offline, the user needs to follow the below steps:

  • Download the Request for a new PAN card or/and changes or Correction in the PAN Data form
  • Now, take the printout of the form
  • When filling out the application, use BLOCK letters and blank ink.
  • For reference, mention your 10-digit PAN.
  • If you are an individual candidate, you must carefully cross-sign and upload two passport-sized photos.
  • When signing, the face should not be hidden.
  • Next, complete the form with all the required information and tick the appropriate boxes.
  • The application must be forwarded to the NSDL facilitation center together with the money, identification, address, and proof of PAN proofs. A printed acknowledgment form with a 15-digit number is generated upon payment receipt.
